Whitton and Whitehouse

- Spokesperson for Disabilities
- Scrutiny Committee
This is my second term as a councillor for Whitehouse and Whitton. This area has a special place in my heart as I worked in the area housing office when it was located just off Whitehouse park. I have lived in this country 18 years, all of which has been in Ipswich and I consider it my British home. When I am not supporting the community being a councillor, I am a disability activist and help run Suffolk Coalition of Disabled People. I am passionate about being a voice for disability rights and to speak up for those who can’t speak for themselves.
I live with my husband Simon, my assistance dog Rex and my three owls – Harry, Bedlam and Ulluru. I have been known to take my owls to local schools and scout groups to teach children the importance of conservation.
